Please pray for the repose of the soul of His Holiness Pope Francis.
After the alleluias and the joy of our Easter celebrations, and the joy of seeing him greet the crowds at St Peter’s, the very next day we were greatly saddened by the death of our Holy Father Pope Francis. We continue to pray for him and for the cardinals who will shortly meet in conclave to elect our new Pope.
Canon Tom’s eye operation
On Thursday 5th June, Canon Tom will have an operation to remove cataracts from both eyes. He is putting measures in place to help but some disruption is inevitable. He will not be driving for some weeks, so he will need some assistance for Sunday Mass in St Margaret’s during that time.
100 Club draw Sunday after 11 am Mass
Pilgrimage to St Fillan’s Cave
On Saturday 31st May we are going on pilgrimage to St Fillan’s Cave, Pittenweem. It will include Mass and a wee trip round the sights, and we are being hosted by the local Episcopal Church for lunch. Please sign up by next Sunday.
This is part of our celebrations for the Year of Hope.
Please pray for the repose of the souls of
Pope Francis and all the faithful departed.
Conversations in the Spirit
Bishop Andrew is asking parishes to meet during Eastertide to discern a way forward for the Diocese. By Pentecost, he hopes to have the fruits of these discussions so that he might move forward with people and clergy. A conversation in the Spirit is indeed a transformative experience. It allows the Spirit to enthuse and inspire us to know and do the will of God and set aside our own agenda. Our first Easter gathering is on Tuesday 29th April at 1.30 pm in the hall. Please come along and help the Bishop and the whole Diocese to seek God’s will.
For those interested in exploring faith
The parish would be delighted to accompany anyone who feels called to become a full member of the Church, to come back to a more regular practice of their faith, or simply to reflect more deeply on their own faith journey wherever that takes them. Canon Tom is happy to form a group according to what is needed. Please contact him for a conversation.
And to our visitors, it’s great to see you. Please come back!
